Thanks for your comment on my photo. I really take it as a compliment because you have taken some stunning b&w images of Calla Lilies, including this one.
As for digging out from the snow storm, I try to look at the bright side and think of all the calories I'm burning!

I agree that the contrast doesn't seem to work, but I didn't notice it until i read Steve's comment. Otherwise a perfect shot.

Well done. The composition is nice as is the general exposure. Only my opinion but I think a reflector on the left to fill in that dark shadow line would make it even better. This time the huge amount of contrast doesn't seem to work as well.
