The now disused Geehi Camp airstrip.. built as part of the Snowy Mtn Hydro Electric Scheme the site of the old camp is along the banks of the Swampy Plains River.. We did the trip in dad's old car which we purchased from the estate when he died a while back.. Dad was in the airforce in England during WWII in bomber command.. I slowly drove the car down the strip (just like taxiing.. a bit) to the far end that you see in this shot then turned it round and accelerated hard till we got to about 90kmh… roaring down the 'strip just like taking off .. a bit.. I’m sure dad woulda have been pleased!! So the backdrop to the campsite is the Geehi Walls which comprise the Main Range
