well my thoughts exactly when i first looked at this ,however im now seeing the benefits of the new lense i got last week,which produces a far more sharper crisper photo than the kit lense i used before.cant explain the ripples this one had no ps work aprt from a frame and crop!.

It almost looks as though you have "placed" the gulls in this image (and yes, that IS supposed to be a positive comment...) I'm also fascinated how the ripples have disappeared in the water in the foreground. A very nice shot. John

Love how the light black and white tonal range compliments the lightness of the birds hovering. Very nice composition. :) Andree

needed a high shutter speed to capture without a blur.seemed to have worked.
