Very thoughtful picture and text! I like the comparison, and the colors are very well balanced. I was in Alaska last summer and there were many forest fires. At times the smoke was so thick you couldn't see the road, but it was safe to travel. I really like this one!

Grazie, Mattia! cosa aspetti a metterle online? spettrali gli alberi bruciati.... se riesco a sistemarli, posterņ anche degli scatti di canary spring; uno dei posti pił fuori da questo mondo che abbia mai fotografato.... felice di condividerli con qualcuno che c'e' stato! non sono facili da capire solo guardando uno scatto;) Ciao! really thank u for your comment, Jim! i clearly remember how much i was disappointed, mi first time in yellowstone.... it was so far to my imagination.... it look like a burned toothpicker plantation... but i've learned, and discovered how wonderful yellowstone is... one of the most beautiful places i've ever seen Ciao Davide

Great concept & presentation. I remember when the fires happened. I realize its part of the rejuvenation of the forest, but its tough not to be sad about such events. The landscape there has a very different feel, but still quite beautiful. I very much like the high contrast and lighting of your image. Excellent photo.
