Glorious capture. How beautiful! Without getting too nerdy, I'd love some technical details--ISO and such. With this dark background, I am amazed at how beautifully you held the brilliant highlighlights. You converted from RAW, right? However you managed it, it is a real winner.

Hi Darlene,
I think this might be one of the best you have posted lately!
Here's why.
1. The egret is in exactly the right place in a great pose.
2. You've captured a nice reflection in the foreground that leads into the bird.
3. The bird is focused pin sharp with excellent detail.
4. Then to top it all off, there is that great, moody out of focus background that adds so much depth to the image.
