About this Phaleonopsis picture, a rule of thumb is do not photograph two subjects together, but these blossoms violate that rule. Why? Because they are "Inseparable" to the eye! Laura: Thanks for the observation about the different "tones of white". Interestingly, I have subsequently photographed these same orchids many times with digital and have never gotten the same elegant colors as I did with Velvia. Maybe I should keep my film stuff after all. I enjoyed your portfolio much. Anson

This is a unique and beautiful macro. There are several different tones of white, which adds interest. The result is a clean and crisp image. Very well done.
