Hi George, Thanks for the fine critique.I suppose I was tring for a high contrast look with this shot.I think with the many shadows and differences in light throughout the scene it was nearly impossible to not blow out certain parts of the photo.I suppose I could work on the image with a dodge and burn tool. My camerea is always set on either 50 or 100 iso. With the camera I am using this is about as good as it gets with these types of images. Thanks again George! Always appreciate Your honest comments! This is a wonderful conception. The lighting is certainly dramatic, but the highlights are blown out--a lot. Digital--like slide film--is not known for its latitude in such high contrast scenes. I would try a low ISO, manually exposing for the highlights with bracketing, and using a RAW capture. In my experience, such an extreme high contrast scene is about as challenging as exposure can get. Good luck, --George

Interesting abstract John. Good perspective to capture the shadows and texture. The snow covered twigs seem to become flowering plants in their shadows.
