Gary - I have just spent too much time from work, here, viewing your portfolio. Fortunately , I've benifited by learning a new word - pathognomonic.
You work is wonderfull- John B

Wow Gary, how have I missed your work before this?? Very emotive pieces. This in particular is a moving shot, the attraction to the eyes is awesome.

Very nice work Gary! The computer screen can't do justice to platinum work, the original print must be beautiful. Good old Tri-X.... my favorite.

Gary an amazing portrait, excellent tones and expression. I think the border adds to the image rather than detracts.

Paul,

I can appreciate your dislike of the border edging....when making a platinum print in which the emulsion is coated on watercolor paper by hand ...there is always the concern from some that showing the edge will impact negatively. Others like it. This is an older print, coated with a Hak brush, and shows the edge brush marks. In newer prints, I use a glass rod and dont show as much brush. Until todays computer manipulations, the brushmarks would be pathognomonic of a hand made print. No longer. Sorry it bothered you so much to influence your rating....
