I'm with Verna. My first thought was to lessen the negative space on the left also. The very interesting and delicate patterns and shadow play could be heightened by the crop.

I like the angles and the shadows and pattern it makes on
the wall....why not just crop off the left side of the photo where it's blank before you print the final. Good Job.

Very nicely done. You might try to lighten that blocky dark square of shadow, or feather the transition a bit.
