I like the profile and your profile lighting is excellent. The red classical, look at many of Rembrandts pieces. It works as long as you don't let it get hot and distracting. The only criticism I find is the posing of the hands.

Nice lighting. I would like to see a little more expression in her face. Slight smile. Rather than pose the hands with fingers together I think they would look better placed one on the other. Still a great picture.

Sorry for the double post. You can see another variation of the backdrop with her here.

Thanks for your comments & observations. The background is a hand painted backdround called Queen Ann by David Maheu. It actually has some scenary painted into it, including trees and a lane.
Thanks again.

Wow, this is a great shot! I happen to love red, so you've got my love! I love the lighting on this, and the background. Simply beautiful. I think adding more color to the background would take your eye off the good stuf. And the background looks almost like a dark day in the forest. Very nice.

I like the light setup and slightly suppressed dark red. The background imho does not "play" with this red. Not that it is unmatching, but perhaps a slight tonal change in the background would make an picture event better.
