A great photo, Paolo. There's a nice story embedded in the lone older man in the relative shade contemplating the younger people in the light of the open square. I do wonder why there is so much black on the right. To my taste the photo would be enhanced by closer cropping, helping emphasize the man's point of view, and a little bit of tone adjustment to bring out slightly more detail in the shadows.
I've attached my idea with the rough example below.
Even if you don't agree with me, I think it's still a terrific photo.

you were on right place right time Paolo, great composition and angle. proportions are very good. who can know his thougths maybe he was thinking this square which was existing before him and its permament guests for whom it opens its doors... what about after him, que sera sera...

Bella, nice vertical framing of the door looking out the piazza, contrast & tones are superb. Just an opinion Paolo, I'd crop a little of the black space on the right since their isn't anything their anyway, I'd also not include the inscription but that's just my preference alone. Well seen & captured neverthless, ciao.

It is like seeing what the man is viewing , an open plaza with lots of people... The huge door framing the man elevates him into a man of stature with this pose...
I have always admire the tones you use both in color and black and white, you have subdued contrast yet with a wide range of tones..
