About	Their faces are so black...was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to expose correctly for the face without overexposing the rest of the picture.

Light allover except on the subject, fill-in flash next time please. Also take care about the "over-exposure".

Afzal, a little bit of fill flash would probably do the trick - maybe -1.5 to -1.7 flash exposure compensation if your flash is capable of those adjustments.
