p.s. Since you've made this a Critiquer's Corner piece I felt I should add that I do think you can improve the photo by adjusting the contrast balance a bit. The reflection and the splash seem to me to be a bit washed out, and the back of the bird is a little bit too bright. I took the liberty of using Photoshop Elements to work on the photo very briefly using the Shadows/Highlights control and came up with the very slight alteration below. No matter, whether you agree with me or not, your photo is still superb!!

ciao giu'...scusa ma ero scappato
č la foto originale..ho scattato con il 300 piu' il moltiplicatore 1,4 x..ero molto vicino al soggetto e quando ho messo a fuoco nell'occhio era ancora fermo..impostazione su ai servo e tutta apertura(F4)..il tempo era 1/2000 di sec e ho scattato appena si č alzato in volo..ho avuto fortuna che mi č rimasto nel fotogramma..poi ero messo al pari dell'acqua e questo a migliorato il tutto..la stabilizzazione era accesa ma in questo caso non serve..anzi meglio staccarla.

Toglimi una curiuositą: č lo scatto originale ( o quasi) o č un crop "estremo"?
E poi... ti sei appostato con il cavalletto o a mano libera? Eri con lo "stabilizzato"? A quanto l'hai scattata?
Come ti avevo scritto in passato , ho provato la 20D di Umberto con il 75-300 f4-5,6 stabilizzato ma sotto 1/125 sono venute tutte leggermente mosse (ed ero a 1600 ISO)
Ora non so se č il Parkinson che avanza o un limite fisico della macchina! :)

č si qui lo "staff choise" ci sta tutto,solo a portarsi dietro un trombone da tre chili ed il secchio del pane ammollato....l'avevo vista gią dal display della macchina che era una grande cattura ma cosģ a video č semplicemente superba,c'č tutto ,ci vorrebbe una giornata a descriverne i pregi,tutto al posto giusto con colori nitidezza e dof impeccabili e poi quello spruzzo d'acqua dietro e il riflesso a riempire il fotogramma divinamente.
