Very creative Judi, whatever the process the effect looks great. The black backround gives good separation to the bike & subject, keep up the good work, cheers.

Hi Judi, Excellent job on the process to end up with this result. Did you consider doing one with the bike positioned a bit further up on his forehead? I'm thinking you gain two advantages by doing this. First you get the bike off the nose area thus exposing more of the boy's face. Second, the theme of the dreams about motorbikes coming from the boy's mind would be punctuated. Come to think of it, maybe you could do one with multiple bikes? Just some thoughts. Andre

Not quite Lius. The boy was lying still and I had my arm covered in black cloth. I set off the camera and moved the motorbike slowly with a small torch just above it. Then I threw the torch to the side and laid the Motobike on the boys face. By not having the light on the bike during the placement allowed for a crisper outline of the bike. Then I painted the boys face with the light from the torch. This was done at night with absolutely no other lighting. I hope that helps.
