grazie Patrizia del tuo commento hai ragione la composizione è volutamente non perfetta, è come se avessi diviso l'immagine in due parti a destra l'uomo e in fondo la via d'uscita, a sinistra la vera prospettiva.

Solo perché è in un critic corner e perché mi piace molto ti sollevo delle perplessità sulla composizione che trovo non essere perfetta.
Ho l’impressione che tu stesso abbia avuto simile sensazione e che il particolare taglio sia stato un intervento per “consegnarle” un maggiore equilibrio.

Basically, I like the photo a lot, Paolo. The converging lines are great. The tones are very well done also. The one correction I would make would be to the left side of the photo. The diagonal shadows that fall on the leftmost pillar give the false sense that the pillar is tilted, and this unbalances the whole photo. I think a tighter crop would solve this problem and do no harm at all to the concept of the otherwise fine photograph. Here is my solution:

I love scenes with very strong perspectives like this. The B&W is a little too "perfect" if you know what I mean. The smooth, digital look, free of grain. But of course there is a full range of tones, with lovely delicate gradations all the way from black to white, so I suppose we mustn't complain! Perhaps the shadows are a little on the dense side...
