Thank you for your thoughtful comment. The angle you suggest is a fine idea. This shot was taken in the midst of fairly heavy traffic, and so I shall try again at another opportunity. --George (Your portfolio is very interesting. I promise to return to it and post some comments as soon as I can. --g)

Sir, Wonderful portrait. Nice capture with his head slightly down it makes it more humble with handsome.
It we take similar shot from just above ground, will that add to this handsome stallion's personality? Just a curiosity.

This fellow is very stately and sharp for his age, and looks like he enjoys doing his thing as well. Your picture is superb, details are great, componsition is great.

Great picture- really like the lighting and colour. I do like horses particularly if they have their own characters and are a bit wild! Love this ones colouring and longer lighter mane.

Hi George,
Nice photo and well captured. I agree that you captured the shot you had in mind, despite his obvious age, he still walks stately and elegantly. Good pose, too. Photographically, the image is nicely exposed and sharp.
I do think the composition and Point of view could be improved upon without changing the way you captured the intention. The fence in the background is normal place the horse in it's current situation, it does also create an unneeded contrast, I believe. Also, I think the POV makes the composition a bit static.
Anyway, it's a fine shot, and you've definitely succeeded in what you've set out to do...:)
Cheers,
Hugo

You sure have captured everything you wanted to do. He is such a proud old horse by the way he holds his head. Still has his winter coat on. Don.
