I noticed this but let the chance to comment pass. Now I see the difference a small alteration to the crop can make... which I find very instructive. I also wonder what my fisheye would have made of these escalators. Must check out Karl Steyn's work.

Very creative image and well captured. Do a little experiment and block the piece of tiled floor in the left top corner out with something. The effect is startling.
