Soft and beautiful spring image Sheila! Fantastic dof and the color is just gorgeous...I'm impatiently awaiting anything with color, right now a dandelion would be a welcome sight! I know what you're going through with the ps...I got it for Christmas and I haven't even scratched the surface. It IS fun though! Take care...Robin

Hi Susie!
I've just started to figure a few things out on PS, so I'm finally starting to have a LITTLE bit of fun with it. I will definitely be checking into some of those forums on it.
I got Elements 4.0 at Costco. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $599.00 on CS2, even if it does sound amazing. Maybe I will upgrade when I become a rich and famous photographer. :)

Thanks Kathy. I think it might be a good idea for me to look into those classes! The book that came with the program is even confusing! I'm having fun with it though. :)

Well done to you on this shallow dof shot my dear Sheila it looks like a crocus. I posted one and then withdrew it when I saw yours and someone elses, all three were the same colour:):):) I am pleased for you that you have PS and yes it is a veritable minefield of goodies. I still haven't come to grips with framing and drop shadows and I have had PS from series 5 through to CS2. I just stay with my favourite bits and pieces. Well done to you sweetie. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Sheila: An absolutely gorgeous composition and use of DOF! Colors couldn't be any better, and the drop shadow adds so much. A true beauty you should be proud of. Anson

You will have so much fun with it once you get the basics down. It just takes a while. There is a lot of help here on UseFilm in the forums too. Did you get Elements or the full deal? Great shot, beautiful colors and wonderful dof. Susie

I don't envy you, Sheila!!! The learning curve on PS is not the most fun thing in the world, but it is worth it! I've got a LONG way to go, but it does get easier. If you have the time there are some pretty good classes at the community college that really speed up the learning curve. This is a pretty shot, BTW! Kathy

Nice soft photo Sheila. Colors look a bit off but it could be my monitor. PS is great to work with, It shouldn't take you too long to get up to speed on it. Good luck.
