Hi Laura! I do like this concept very much it's creative and also has touch of surreal which make it very attractive, also the cropped version does appear more symmetrical which delivers better visuals!

I finally had some time to sit down and do some post-camera work on this shot. Thanks for your suggestion about getting rid of the dark band near the bottom of the image - it made all the difference!

Hi John,
Yes, I absolutely agreet that the bottom of this photo detracts from the overall image. What I ideally wanted as a platform to place the glasses on was a shiny piece of black plastic. I think this would have picked up the relection of the polka-dot background as well as the glasses perfectly. Unfortunately, I didn't have the right object at hand, so I had to improvised. I do plan to get a black plastic "sheet", I just don't know where to go to look for one. A hardware store? Or maybe a home improvement store? Do you have any suggestions John?

I like this a lot, except for the raggedy grey band towards the bottom.

Thanks for your generous comments on my portfolio. For this shot, I was definitely going for a look from the error which is now called "Mid-Century Modern". You're the only one who has noticed this so far!
You also reminded me that I needed to recrop this image, due to a slight skewing of the original.

I like the color you used to capture this bubbling champagne, the polka dots and the bubbles has similarity. The refraction on the champagne is very interesting.. nice composition.
