Nice environmental portrait & well executed in showing his work & surroundings. I've heard of the sad news regarding the passing of Arnold Newman, indeed he has left his mark in the photographic community & will be dearly missed, the one image that I remember is that famous shot of Igor Stravinsky with his piano. Anyway good job here.

Cause I don't just look at a picture, I observe it... And you are not gonna get those kinds of comments in UF. People see something they like and assume it is perfect but don't look at the details. I do. I like this picture and that can be fixed in no time in PS.

It seems like you have definitely captured the spirit of this artist Manu!
He looks very relaxed and comfortable in familar surroundings. I think it is a good idea to take portraits of people around the things that mean a lot to them. These surrounding objects appear to be a part of his life, and that is important.
Now, I hope you are not going to tell me this is all a pose with props :)

Well captured shot! The clothes of the man and the background fit together just perfectly, really making it obvious that this is the man's personal habitat and working place. Good work!

Superb portrait, I feeli it captures not only the visage of the artist, but also his character by showing the surroundings / studio, and making it an integrated part of the image. That, in conjunction with the self satisfactory pose is just awesome, almost too good to be true! Very well captured in all aspects, impressive!
