What a great, interesting composition, Jim. Managing the tree as a border between the blue water and green grass is terrific execution. To me it works really well as an abstract. Well done!

Howdy again, Roger.
Yes, I'm sure know this place (real close to the Indian embassy). I noticed from your portfolio that you had been there last year. Incidentally, I particularly like your piece "Cherry Blossoms II" from last spring. Looking forward to seeing what you get this year.

Thanks everyone...
Sorry to reply so late, Doyle. That's a good idea to crop it more simple like that. It's more to the point. Thanks.

I think I recognize this, Jim. If I'm right, I will be visiting the same place (a few minute's walk from my office) for cherry blossom photos this week. The saturation is a little over the top for my taste but the copmposition is "nikui."

A beautiful cocktail of colours, Jim! All the symbols of spring in Japan, the yellow nanohana included!Ingeniously worked out shot!

Un ángulo perfecto, un ángulo de colores que contrastan y combinan... una bella composición!

Jim:
This is a unique view with the branch dividing the green sward from the blue water. While the colors are great and the subject is nice, I couldn't help but see the stark change from the green to the blue. Cropping the yellow foreground emphasized this and might be a good idea for a future study . . . although the work you posted is good (and certainly better than the attached example), I thought there was potential for another interesting work here. Nicely done!

Doyle I <------

I like the way you've aligned the branch and the bank of the creek and of course the colours.
