The only road trips I get to make anymore are for short term, high impact engineering projects. They usually last about two weeks and work goes seven days a week, 12 hours a day. There is no time to take in the local sights beyond what you can see in close proximity to either work or lodging facilities. This evening arriving back at the hotel I was greeted by this vision of Mt. Hood. I shot this at max optical & digital zoom (22X) at digital equivalent ISO 50 and used a tripod. Sometimes you just have to take things as you find them... or lose them entirely.
