Hi Cesare,
Nice dramatic capture. I love trains and this is wonderful shot with perspective and colours. You can try same shot in underexposed condtions, where u catch only bright region which may give alternate perspective of train. Just have look at my last upload of TRAIN!

Grazie Marco, il senso che volevo dare era proprio quello di "TEMPO SCADUTO"....la vista che si ha quando si arriva tardi alla stazione e il treno se ne stà andando...a colonna doveva essere il termine di paragone al movimento del treno. Avevo fatto altri scatti, anche con persone sulla pensilina ma questo mi pareva più significativo. Grazoi di nuovo e ciao.

Senza entrare in dettagli tecnici la foto mi sembra incompiuta a livello narrativo. Il treno che scorre è un buonissimo elemento, ma il contesto dell'immagine è dato solo da un pilasto che è poco come elemento statico e rappresentativo.
Un treno che passa è un treno che passa, un treno che passa accanto a qualcosa, in un luogo rappresentato, con delle persone, è un racconto - per immagini - e un agglomerato di senso.

Ti allego un mio vecchio scatto sul tema, dal titolo "scorre tutto".

I agree your observation for the sky... but it was a grey day and a gray station. I used a filter named flaming pear for Paint Shop.

Hi Cesare,

I like the dynamism in this photo. The passing train shows just enough of the windows to not become a complete abstract blur, yet it's speed is very well captured.

A pity about the excessively blown out sky; it casts an unnecessary glow over this photo, but on the other hand, it fits with the rather bleak (but consistent) tones. It also places the attention to the column and it's textures. a very nice and dynamic photo. How did you achieve the blur in the column? Photoshop? Or are there also lensbabies for fixed lenses? Just curious...
