upper and lower basin in yellowstone n.p. are special places for me. I have seen many unusual and spectacular colors, it is a particular place of Earth.
Hi Eleonora, what a fantastic photo; the geothermical colours of the algae in the basin are almost surreal, especially in combination with the reflection of the blue sky.
The reflection of the trees place the rather abstract patterns of the basin in their perspective, showing us a hint of the surroundings, which works extremely well. A spectacular touch!
The only thing I could possibly nitpick about is the darker patch in the foreground. I think cropping it off could perhaps make the composition a bit better balanced as it would draw the viewers attention more to the far end of the basin. A minor thing, though. A great shot!
