Oh sh@#! I can't even spell it right! (And sorry Marian for running this discussion under your image!) To be fair to Warsaw, a number of walls are set aside for street artists to exhibit their work, but when every building is covered in spraypaint up to head-height, it's time to call in the paint police. And while I see some merits in the image Marian captured, I wouldn't want it painted on the outside wall of my apartment!

Ace, the funny thing is, there IS a lot of talent. And Marian's capture is a good example. The trouble is that every street I travel down in Warsaw seems to be covered in "street art". And for the very reason that no special talent is required, most of it is just disfiguring the town. When it is unique and special, there should certainly be a place for it. How to resolve this conflict?

John! i think street art is one unique way to express the art work it dosen't need any special talent or tool... just paint it and here it is :) i know it should not be engouraged but this kinda art is unique and special :)

There seems to be a lot of street art today (and I apologise to those concerned for all my earlier comments today referring to "grafitti"!) It doesn't change the fact that I am worried that by turning it into photographic images we encourage this defacing of our urban environment. Nevertheless, this is a striking image, and it's good you got it before the 101 Crew is dragged back to clean it up!
