Yes I use reflections to, to try to single out the objects, to remove the background, the same as you did if I understand right... The thing with your picture, rotten orchids, is that it is so much more complex than this and I thought that the reflection just added to the complexity..
Hmm, maybe it is not possible to get the same result without the reflection, or perhaps it can be done using a polarizer.. ?
Your comment about the reflections on my picture attracted my attention to yours. And I find immediately a photo with... a reflection. Why do we use reflections ? I wanted a clean place, a "technical" surface to contrast with the rotten orchids. And you? (I'll reply to your answer under my photo too).
