About Newport, RI - 8/23/05 5:17 PM

1/100th - f/9 - iso100 - 28mm

Cropped from a 2:3 photo, this image seemed to work well in a pano format. To the left is the Goat Island lighthouse and to the right the Pell Bridge, two of the most well-known elements of Newport Harbor.

Thanks Chris, I had thought about it but didn't have any ready-to-hang prints on hand... and didn't want to rush to submit something.

Tha's too bad about your equip. - you know they saw a dSLR w/lenses and said 'jackpot' ...bastards! But it looks like you've got a better body and glass now...

Nice shot here too Chris, I agree with the over saturation a little but thats me. I got 2 new lenses and new camera, my house was robbed a couple of weeks ago and they took my camera bag. That will teach me to always have my camera with me. Did you enter anything into the Island Arts Gallery this week?

BEAUTIFUL,Chris!

That sky looks like a watercolor painting.
A wonderful time of day, well exposed.

Nice work as usual,
Lori :)

Thanks Hugo, there was good late afternoon light o this day, but I agree I may have gone too far w/ the saturation slider!

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris, I agree this works well in pano format. Increadible tones, undoubtedly real, but it looks rather too yellow for the "casual observer" like me. together with the blue of the clouds and shadows, the area near the horizon actually seems to turn green! Pretty amazing, and a very nice overview.

Cheers,

Hugo

Wow very nice colors, almost like a watercolored painting. The composition looks good also with the boats nicely line up and frame partly by the bridge. Very Good work Chris
