thanks gary, i live at the foot of the north downs and most landscape shots are a two mile walk from home. however i always try to create or get a shot that kind of creates a surreal view even though the locations exist.perhaps a lot has to do with using a 17mm focal a lot gives it that different perspective and a view we dont always see in our everyday travels.

Composition looks fine to me. Rules were made to be broken. I enjoy all your landscapes, they have a feeling of rural quietness about them, and they seem very English to me for some reason (other than the locations!). Could be the light.
