This is a nice simple composition and the subtle diagonal works well.I am new to the site and am just browsing random photos.If you print this one,you can afford to crop down from the top which will give a better balance and overall look.
You could market this one for environmental ads if interested.

Interesting photo, and I get the impression that you were trying to explore your new camera, as opposed to having a specific intention to go out and shoot? Regardless, this photos creates an interesting effect w/ showing a minimal amount of beach but effectively communicating the enviroment.

Hi Jeroen, This is a great image; the shallow DOF really rocks here, very functional use, and a well balanced composition. It creates the feel of the beach by only showing a minor part of it. Very nice approach and a very good shot!
