Another great portrait. Your use of light and color is so well balanced. I like her pose....might like to see it with a small rim light over her left shoulder. But a small point. I am sure your subject was very pleased with the result.

Outstanding lighting and great use of color as a compositional element.
It looks like you've used some digital softening or airbrushing here, and it looks a bit unnatural, and/or perhaps the point of focus is just too far forward, on the brim of the hat rather than the eyes. To create a soft effect, I prefer to use very short DOF and manual focus, which keeps the point of focus sharp and where I want it to be, rather than soft filters or artificial softening, but that is a matter of taste.

I was wondering what happened to you. Glad to see you back. And you come back with force, I see! This is really excellent. The lighting and detail is outstanding. Another great one Verna.

A great picture. Would you email me and let me know how you control your lights and if you have used softening etc. dloseke7@yahoo.com Thanks.

Very nice. Has that old-masters painterly look to it.
