Many thanks for all your comments.
The lens used is a Canon 24-85 (holding out for my 24-105L...) I spent a lot of time trying to get the bottom step horizontal but it threw out the centre vertical so I left it as is. I have corrected the perspective in photoshop, so this may have caused it, but I suspect it may also be to do with a less-than-perfect lens...grateful for any tips on how to correct it!

Robert,
This is a perfect! I love symmetry. The slight sepia works very well.
There's always art to be found in a tube station!
I see what hugo is talking about. It caught me as well. I can only think that you correct lens distortion in PS to bring the lines together, and it bent the steps on image left back.
I love this! Very well done, and composed!

Hi Robert, this is very cool, the near perfect symmetry creates a very strong mix between streamline, a rather space-ship-like interior and the real subject, the tube. Furthermore, I think the tone add a very vintage feel to this photo, and I think the sepia actually adds t the feel and atmosphere of this photo. Great shot!
I'm curious which lens you used; If I look closely the (near) horizontals slightly converge to the left; indicating either a slightly off centered perspective, or a correction in the postprocessing. (or is that tube entrance actually askew?). Nothing major though, really nitpicking here, and it doesn't affect this image. It's just something I noticed and which arouses my curiosity.
Superb shot!
Cheers,
Hugo
