beautiful composition! I love the sweeping line drawing from left to right.
There are a few things that you could possibly try to make this a perfectly stunning photograph..
Did you try cropping a little off of the bottom, just to the point of bringing the yellow (whatever they call it) to the vertical center of the image? I think that will balance the composition a little better.
ONe thing that struck me as soon as I opened the image, is the balance of the blue/green values. It appears that the blue and green have infected the black values a bit too much. Did you try pulling some pulling of those values out of the bottom end values, and adding a bit more contrast?
(took a crack at the image on my lunch break..hope you don't mind)
Overall, an outstanding capture! I love the texture and details in the core. The sweeping lines are so perfectly framed in your composition...love the sideways presentation!
