About Taken after sunrise.

***************************************
According to legend, the point was once used as a corral for wild mustangs roaming the mesa. Cowboys rounded up these horses, herded across the narrow neck of land and onto the point. The neck, which is only 30 yards wide, was then fenced off with branches and brush, creating a natural corral (Vista Point Area) surrounded by precipitous cliffs. Cowboys then chose the horses they wanted and for some reason, left the other horses corralled on the waterless point where they died of thirst within view of the Colorado River, 2000 feet below.

Beautiful scene with interesting name.. Very good capture of this natural color and and forms. Fantastic lights and shadows, good timing to take this shot, it gave depth to see the vastness of this scenery. great view point, the background adds alot to the interest of this image. well done kabayan..

Not as good as my landscape work, but a competent effort.

hi,gorgeous place, good POV chosen and very nice max dof...i feel that this is one of those shots where you can afford to leave out the horizon completely...when you have a featureless sky,or one that is so bright that it causes exposure probs, leaving it out can result in a stronger image...of course, you could crop down using PS to eliminate it here...and this lady of Native American heritage says,"Bad cowboys to leave the unwanted horses trapped!" ;>

Wow, gorgeous shot and such clear sky. Why would I be thinking this was the Grand Canyon? I was surprised to see the location.

Best,
Dave
