The grainy effect matches the subject. I think this shot should be viewed together with some other images with the same technique applied because it does not speak for itself. My eyes seems to focus at the point where the guitar and the diagonal line at the background intercept. I think, the real focus point should be the other hand.
Together with some other images in the series, this would make a fine promo.
