Incredible focus for 1/10 shutter! Must not have had any wind at the time!?! Just gorgeous with the yellow peeking out and the greens in the background. The delicate hair give a nice touch :) Beautiful!

Tack sharp, Susie and I presume you used a tripod. This is such a good subject with the sharp internal floral detail and the effect of the soft lighting on the hairs. I like how the DOF falls giving a sharper plane to the rearward petals - usually I would do it the other way around but this is perfect!

Wonderful Macro Photograph Susie, Great Colors and Clarity. The only suggestion I have is that you composition did not follow the rule of thirds. Since this is not a straight on shot, shifting the flower to the left about an inch letting the left edge be at the first "V" and taking a little off the bottom. To me the amount of the brighter/blurred left side takes away from the beauty and crispness of flower.

Hi Susie! Hmmm ... a CC image :) Well, if you allow nitpicking, the only thing I can think of is the abrupt crop of the two leafs at the bottom. Other than that this is a really lovely picture with exquisite details and great DOF. Gorgeous shot!

BREATHTAKING Susie, beautiful and breathtaking. The colours are simply gorgeous and the petal colour not always an easy tone to catch. The details are stunning, if I had the time to squander I could count the hairs on the petals. The dof is perfect in it's provision of soft outlines and delicate colour to add impact to the subject flower. A fabulous floral composition sweetie, so a big well done to you. Well, if you want a critique, Susie, here's a critique: it's beautiful!! The colors are so rich, and the composition is really nice. And there's just the right amount of blurring in the background to make it interesting but unobtrusive.

i have no idea what the plant is either but the color photographs beautifully :)...thats a great macro lens..u can even see the little grains of pollen on the outside..making my eyes water and my nose stuffy just looking at it lol..
