Hello Andreas, very effective picture, made by the light leaks and how they have landed in places that give meaning, however unintentional, to the picture. The father's torso being dissolved away, as if by acid, well -- it means a lot! I thought I had acquired a Holga a few weeks ago, but the picture quality isn't bad enough to be good, if you know what I mean, so I don't think it'll be useful for me. Rgds, Svend

Total focus on the girl using the dad as a tree like figure of security....love it. The onlu thing I find a little off putting is the frame but I am at a loss as to correcting it...?
Well done

Thank you Mark, this is a scan from a print on Forte Paper. The light bleed are comes from a wrong film transport in the Holga.
btw.: my name is Andreas ;-))

Very good Stefan. I know you want a good critique of this, and this should be both positive and negative, but I can't think anything negative to say! I love the depth to this, probably created by the Holga. Superb. I want/need one. Did you scan the negative or the print? I ask only because I hope that the 'border' and light bleed are real from the camera/enlarger, and not from PS. Love your work truly! Mfg, Mark

good piece of holga work...
Her look is a 'must', it really makes this shot in my opinion... The 'white spot' on the ground doesn't bother me, but i'm not so sure about the one on the 'guy'... if only that light shaft had fallen elsewhere.... like this, for me, it's a good picture but not a great one... but this kind of thing it's just part of the fun when working with an Holga!

Hello Andreas, special image and effect with this Holga shot. I like the sense of the father in this image with his son (or better this son with "this" father)
Really nice also the tones of the print. Bye

Marco, thank you. The spots are coming from the cam, the transport from the film does not work exactly.

Hi Mr Hering, my two cents of euro for critique corner angles as you request :-) undoubtedly, for me this photo is outstanding. there is a story told (her afraid of separation, sense of affective possession) with attractive tones and interesting 'ghost' of light. maybe the crop of the father just a little above..more near the shoulder..anyway the ghostlight near the face is very disquieting. i repeat, fantastic photo! PS: but the white spot are fortuity or driven in DarkR ? good luck for your decisive moment and regards Marco

Hello Wouter, thank's for your comment and your thoughts. The picture is in this project, because this moment is a Decisive Moment for me .Please look in her face, i saw her never ever so looking on this day again. For me are this white spots ok, they do me not disturb, because the imortand things are her expression, the moment, the mood and the 2 swings in the back. Making pictures with the Holga is a suprise again and again :))).
Thank you and have a nice time.
Best Andreas

To be honest, i am not sure wether i like this image or not. The atmosphere, the contrast and the balance are great, but only that white spot at the top... But i also think it should be there, without it, the image would more flat, lacking impact. Probably it is more the remains of the black border at the top left that is bothering me.
I think i like it after all very much...
By the way: why is it posted in the 'Decisive Moment' project?
