I like the colors seen here lovely color combinations, all of them wearing differnet color. Their position and pose on this lovely car is very natural, all of them with a happy face.. a joyful moment captured. The warm lighting adds to the mood of this photo. great shot Tracey!

Cute set up and nicely color coordinated- I love how the sun makes it so warm on their faces. I might have tried to get a different scene behind the car- a row of trees or something, but I really like this shot and see it has a lot of potential to be a real winner! Good work!

Trace,
The ISO, f/stop and shutter speed all work together to make a correct exposure. Change 1 and you change all the rest.
At ISO 200 you could change the f/stop to f/11 if you change the shutter speed to 1/60. That would give you twice the DOF. Or you could use a tripod and use an ISO of 200, f/16 with a shutter speed of 1/30, which would double your DOF again.
Notice every time you drop your shutter speed you increase your DOF. Now if you wanted to shoot with an ISO of 100 you would have to loose 1 f/stop of your DOF, or increase your shutter speed 1 step.
This is a staged capture, so use ISO 100 with a very low shutter speed around 1/15th of a second @ f/16. (Tripod in a must for this) That way you get very great low grain with a wonderful DOF and a pretty good bokeh.
About the sun thing... You could have avoided it and you knew I would notice it, not just someone... I usually avoid it by changing the angle of my shot, but you couldn't do that and still get the great composition regarding this Awesome capture.
So, the way you could have fixed the above mentioned problem, would be to invest a small amount of money and get a diffuser. I only spent $34.99 on a 36 inch reflector and diffuser. It has 4 different colors for the reflections and 1 diffuser. It's a 5 in 1 and well worth the money.
Just get a neutral party, or a helper to hold the diffuser in between the capture and the sun. Walla, Problem solved. You are getting way too good to keep on shooting snaps. Start shooting Photographs my friend...
Well done indeed regarding your eye, just get the mechanics down. Remember you control everything, that you want to.
Thank you for helping me learn,
Marty
PS. I'm not being a smart ass, because you made me think of how I would solve the problem before I shot. I would have made the same mistakes and I probably still will, but now I know the correct way to do it.

Wow Marty so many questions so early in the morning, hang on I'll grab my toast and milk.. Now 200 iso aperture 8 shutter 1/125 in jpeg on 8 megapixels only a very slight crop was done nothing else and the sun was going down and it leaves that yellow tinge in the skin, could not avoid that, and I knew someone would comment on the sun on the face I should have mentioned this. The girls wanted this I think the vodka cruisers were sinking in Lol.. hope this has helped you Marty it was a long day and I thankyou for your comment regards Trace...

Trace,
Wonderful cropping, colours, framing and composition, indeed. But, and you knew there would be a But... LOL
The 2nd and 4th model from left to right need to smile and be more into the shot. I'm not sure, but it looks like the light from the trunk lid is causing the yellow hue to cast upon the models and trunk lid, as well. Only I would notice something this minute.
I really need more data to leave a helpful critique on this 1. Shutter Speed, f/stop, ISO and file size. I can see that you’re using dimensions of 850 x 615, which is good, but I don't know the size. Megabytes, or Kilobytes, that looks like MB, or KB after the number.
I also what the quality level you are you using to shoot the photo. RAW, jpeg, large, medium, small ect. The original shot would help, because maybe you cropped too much in PS.
I can't figure it out, but you got cheated on this one for sure. I need the original without PS to determine what went wrong.
Thanks,
Marty
