It's so splendid that is difficult to choose the best merit: the perfect composition and angle? The only two, essential, complementary colours? The soft backlit lighting? One thing it's sure: I take it with me in my favorite images. Bravo! Cheers.

hi, i like the boldness of the comp and the format works well ...i don't see what Peta sees unless she is talking about the dark specs that seem to be part of the petals?...the only thing that i find distracting is a greenish hazy area bottom right as viewed....This would be gorgeous enlarged and simply framed...a new style for you and i like it! regards,gayle

I think some of the dust is inside the tulip, Peta, since this was heavily back-lit by the afternoon sun. Thanks for noticing, girl. I'll look at it a bit closer.

Very nice job here. I like that the focus of the photograph is at the base of the flower; it makes the subject the yellow portion of the tulip, not the tulip itself. It is a unique view and captures the different colours very well. Nice capture.
