love the framing of the eyes in the two converging radial diagonals created by the fan and her hair... how to isolate an expression in a pair of eye?? well this is how folks.. perfect Gertrude cunning imagery indeed it shows how simple touches elevate the mundane to a higher level

An interesting composition with the use of the fan but I feel it works really well. Always prefer black and white portraits and this is no exception.
