You can adjust the color levels in photoshop. I did a quick adjustment to the levels on your image. About the crop, it was merely a suggestion if you ever take images like this again. But dont misunderstand its a terrific image!

I could not reposition the bird to a different part of the frame simply because this is a non cropped image .

Fantastic picture! Really Majestic! Maybe you could adjust the levels a fraction. Concerning the composition I also think I would move the bird more to the left to that there is more space the way the hawk looks.
