What a wonderful wildlife portrait my dear Susie. The details in the squirrel's fur are amazing and the colours too are so lovely. I have to echo Kathy's words, it is the best squirrel shot I have ever seen. He/she has an extraordinary look and does appear to be quite capable of a lot of mischief. hi,great dof and details with beautiful natural color...he seems to have some personality in his expression...when my son was very young,we had one in Seattle that would come up to the screen door to retrieve the small baking peanut butter candy morsels! We tried nuts and seeds,but it only wanted the PB morsels..LOL..

Great detail here Susie! I really like the colors too.
We have one of these little guys who likes to taunt our dog. He waits in the middle of our fence until our dog notices him and once our dog starts to charge, the squirrel will run to the end of the fence and then wait for our dog to catch up. As soon as our dog almost catches up, the squirrel will take off to the other end of the fence. He usually takes a few runs back and forth before he gets bored and takes off. It's pretty funny to watch.

Nice little Fella u got here, he seems all nasty and playfull little thing.
very nice DOF and i like how the tails tends to fade into the background.only the over exposed are of wood at the bottom right might be distracting or seem missing, still a very nice shot though.
My apologies for my lack of comments, may say i am on the low curve recently, but hopefully will be catching up.

Sounds just like us Susie.
We have a few of these that have different personalities. All I have to do is walk out in the backyard and withing minutes one of them is running along the back fence to see if I have anything for him.
Two summers ago, we had three babies that visited regularly. We like to think that the ones that come around now are the same ones. Who knows?

Susie this is such a great shot. Can't believe this one stuck around long enough for you to get such a great shot. The wood and the background really bring out the detail in his fur coat and all his little whiskers, markings, etc. I just love this. Too cute.
