Excellent closeup Mireille. But the only thing I would like to say here is some breathing space was required on both the sides of the frame to give it more balance. As you can see the photo has been cropped in such a way that the frame touched the butterfly wings on the left and touches some part of the butterfly in the right. May be a little more space on both the sides would have made this shot even better balanced.

I know how fast you had to work to get this wonderful creature. I can't believe this is hand held. I might have used an f16 or 22 but then the tripod would prob. make you lose the shot. Also if you have a relector or aluminum foil handy try reflecting it into the subject.

What wonderful colours have the kind butterfly that posed for you! Fortunatly you are not a macro specialist and so lights and colors and neatess are still soft enough for appreciating the texture and the coloured pattern of the wings.
Good photo Mirelle. The butterfly knows that you have cutted her antennas?

This is a beautiful subject and it has somewhat of a soft focus . . . which is ok, just not as sharp as some prefer their Macro shots. You captured the colors VERY well, even the irridesence in the lower and leading edges of the wings. I would have prefered a bit more light since that would have helped illuminate this AND accent the irridescent blue which is so beautiful. The crop on the left AND the crop on the right, in my opinion, are a little too close. Both actually connect to the subject here. This is a really good capture . . . Congratulations!
