About HONEST CRITIQUES ONLY PLEASE! Give me something I can use... please...
I am inspired by all those photos of people (teens/kids, mostly) with thier pics and letter of their first names near each pic... does that make sense or has my caffeine kicked in yet??? This is my first try ( I think).. Let me know what you think please! (with a cherry on top)

You at least need something between the letters and the photos to help the letters stand apart. Either an edge to the letters, or put them on a separate layer and give them a slight drop shadow. The blue letters are the hardest to read.

Thank you for that explanation. My Son is a Marine (retired), your description could fit him also! lol

Thank you for such intense criticalness... (laughing at self at loss of articulate wording) I will play with it some more, saved it as a project to do just that. The reason for the red, white and blue was she is a young marine and her bday party is this weekend and we were hoping to post it there. I will use your ideas. ALso,,,, warhol.. wasnt sure if that was a compliment or not. AMnesia is hitting me full force in that area.. is that a good thing to be like him???
Thanks!

This looks pretty ok Mandy . . .
Were it me (and this is my personal opinion so there is no right or wrong) . . . I would opt for a dark border. I would use it both vertically AND horizontally-while keeping it thin, not just the horizontal as you have done here. The entire outside border can be a bit thicker. I like columns 1, 2, 3 and 6 a lot. I would replace 4 and 5 with other color filters . . . perhaps red (which could reflect the anger without being dark)and yellow. I would then change the letter colors to reflect the column filter colors and jumble it so that a yellow letter was not in a yellow column and a B&W or Sepia divided the three colors. Leave column 1 as is:
Original-Red-B&W-Yellow-Sepia-Blue
Colors interchanged as appropriate to the eye for columns 2, 4 or 6.
You are being very creative and (as Laura mentioned, Warhol-ish). I like this idea very much and see great potential in it.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Basically to show all sides of her personality is the reason for it. She is very intelligent and bright, but has a dark almost violent side at times, she can be a perfectionist which also sends her into rages of anger, she can be helpful and loving but also emotionless. She is also a YOUNG MARINE. Thats my reasoning for everything I see in this pic.

This image makes me think of Andy Warhol. The collage is well constructed. That is a beautiful child. The center pics are very dark, what was the purpose of that? Inquiring minds wanna know! lol
