I like this photo, but what is the purple overcast? Is this the reflection from the clouds? Personally, I find it a bit distracting, but that's only me.
I've color-corrected it to see what it would look like without the "Jimi Hendrix" effect (purple haze).

Of course, you may have done this purposefully, or maybe it's natural light. Either way, here you go.
By the way, I'm a fan of the action you've captured and it makes me wonder what's just off camera. :-)
