Hi Hugo, I just bought the Sigma 10-20mm lens. Have not had any time to use it yet. It looks like a great landscape lens. Thanks. Don.

Hi Don,
It's the contrast between the barren void in the background and the nicely pedestalled car I had in mind;As the background is very minimalistic, it'll still draw enough attention to the car, but add the surprising element of this neatly exhibited car in the apparent middle of nowhere - it's that contrast I think could really make it tick, so no need to show the bridge. Again, it's a subjective thought...
And as to the wide angle, I think I would've used my 12-24; It'll emphasises the perspective, but as it's aspherical, it won't distort (much). A great lens!
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Hugo, This was taken with the 18-70 lens and I was pretty close to the car. There is very little behind the car, maybe an interstate bridge on the left. The terrain is very flat in this spot. Thanks for your comments, they are always most interesting and I value them. Don.

Hi Don, nice carcass of this old car. and a good shot. It's a bit centered and straight forward for my taste. Guess that's down to a difference of style, but I think I would've taken out my wide angle, and tried to include the scenery into the composition, by placing it off center. It may bring some dynamism in this photo, which might well emphasise the mood.
As usual, technically a very good photo, and a very well balanced tonal range.
Cheers,
Hugo

Excellent perspective and composition, Don! The way the car is up on blocks, at first glance it appears to be floating in midair. You've captured the details and rusty texture very well. Dave.

Good shot Don! It's amazing , although rusty, It's not that bad! If that car were close to where I live It would be rusted out completely by now! The salt air does a # on cars here! Good detail and color Don! My best...........John
