hi,this one probably looks better printed as on my monitor,the blurred parts look a tad muddy with a slight olive cast...the focused center is very nice and like the slant

Hi Ray, I picked up the lens last fall, it was brand new then...and it is meant for the digital camera's. It has taken me a long time to become comfortable using it. I find that as long as you can get close to the subject and have a steady hand it is a great lens. It has a 1:1 ration which has had some interesting results. I personally have never used the 100mm so I don't have any comparisons to give you. My best advice is just take a look at my last 20 or so pictures as that is the lens of choice for me lately.

I love the bold crop on this shot Chris and the focus is great with it's superb dof. Beautiful colours and wonderful clarity in the details. Well done to you my friend.
This must be the relatively new 'S' series macro lens which appears to be giving you tremendous results. I use the 100mm macro but wonder if I shouldn't switch to the 60 which was designed to go with our respective cameras. Any comments or observations would be welcome my friend.
