Thanks Robin . . . I was more worried about my equipment than myself . . . I agree about the fish and chicken . . . the Nikon is black enough already! :P

Awesome capture Doyle...the power and intensity are amazing...spectacular color and patterns! Glad to see you were using your 300mm friend, crisping and blackening belong on fish and chicken only! Take care...Robin

If you donīt behave, Iīll make sure that Marlyce punish you!! Itīs a great advantage having your wife around, and weīre already planning something with not stars and stripes, but red and white stripes for you:-)))

Annemette: It seems a tad blurry?? You think? I don't know why. I did all the right things . . . Focus on the central, flickering flame, use of tripod with remote shutter release, I even told the flame to stand very very still and smile! LoL! Ok, I shot it with a 300mm handheld and didn't get it to stand still at all! Just having some fun poking at you! By the way . . . the moustache is intact . . . so the wife is still speaking to me! Besides, since she won an award (by making fun of me) I may be in more trouble than I thought! ;)

Dear Doyle I hope you didnīt burn off your beard/moustache ;-) Very unusual image that is a bit blurry, but very appealing with its textures and tones. All the best, Annemette

Thanks Mary . . . You're always so very kind in your comments! :) I should point out that this is the true orientation of the ceiling fire and the gas leak that started it is visible near the center still shooting gas. The heat ignited the gas all along the top. A stunning display in person.

You get such great ideas and variety Doyle. This is amazing. The strength of colour and texture- just so striking.
