Thanks Chris, I appreciate your comments. I spent about an hour shooting these guys to get the four.

Certainly the strongest image of the series here Kenneth . . . coming in for a 3-point landing. It's difficult to get bees in flight..... The DOF is great here. Your composition has strong diagonal, well saturated foliage lines.
I do wonder about the color though. If this is a bumble bee . . . he seems to have a tinge of green to his yellow. The pollen sack on the leg, too, seems red instead of orange. Perhaps a small tweak on the green and/or red color saturation levels would resolve that. Minor points really . . . since the series is overall very well done in focus, composition and that top notch DOF! Hard to believe you managed this with the 18-55mm lens! (Hopefully you didn't get stung).

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Hi Kenneth,
Out of the four I think I prefer this one. I like the way it looks like he is about to land and the feet are hanging. Nice colour tones and nicely composed.
I can also appreciate the effort in taking these pictures. I find I can spend along time chasing these guys before I get a good shot of one.
Cheers,
Chris.
