This is typically well executed, a trait of your portfolio. You also don't shy away from somewhat adventuresome compositions. Given those two opinions of mine, this image still stands out compositionally.
The camera position could easily have been raised to have the fence to overlap the forground (rocks?). But, placing is against the middleground makes a strong statement. It seems to me to be well balanced by the streaking clouds immediately above and to the right.
If it wasn't for the compositional stiching brought by yourself, the image might have ended as a catalog of interesting elements.
Your presentation makes a good image.

I love all of the components in this picture. The textures of the sky, the grass and the post are extremely striking and very intriguing. The colors are amazing as well. This deserves to be recognized with some kind of award (wink, wink) Superb capture!!!

Miles, just use RAW instead of jpeg and if you dont have ps cs2 you have to use another raw program as "Phase One" or "Raw Shooter". You select and work with them there and then when you are satisfied you convert to tiff and it will open up automatic in PS. Easy and so much more fun to have total control.

I guess you used the flash (external or not) to capture this wonderful texture and details on the wood... and i can see clearly that the light is not from in front, it´s from behind ....if you look at the clouds and landscape. Amazing colours and deepness of them. Classical landscape yes and nice one. This interest me more then the previous super symmetrical one. :) Jeanette

Amazing tones. I can see the positives of shooting RAW. I really want to shoot RAW but haven't the first idea where to start. Great capture. Miles...
