About	Shot during a weekend trip to a hotel where the whole family was togethr to celebrate my grandmother's 90 years. Nice party, cool to meet people we rarely meet. The hotel was quite cozy, with the looks of an old colonial farm, with many attention to details, like this signpost.

U really like the sunlight on the sign. You picture looks fine on my monitor (which I keep in calibration with a ColorVision "Spider." Nicely seen and nicely done.

Hi Rebecca,

thanks for the comment. This image is really about light contrasts. I like the shape formed by it - wide at the top, thinner at the third sign and then wide again. The film used - Kodak E100VS - is VERY contrasty and saturates colors nicely. I opted to keep the mood when scanning so it may really look a bit on the dark side of the force on some monitors.

Really nice colours here, and I love the way the shadows play across the sign, giving it interest. It seems a bit dark on my screen.
